CPSC Officially Releases Notice of Proposed Regulation "Toys Containing Button/Coin Batteries"
On July 10, 2024, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued a proposal for "Toys with Button/Coin Batteries Requirements. The CPSC staff recommended that the Commission issue a draft notice on the proposed regulations (NPR) to establish new mandatory standards for "toys containing button/coin cells" to ensure that these toys achieve the highest feasible safety requirements. U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Approves Revision of the Safety Standard for Soft Baby Bands (16 CFR 1226)
updated standard will take effect on February 22, 2025. Each soft baby carrier must comply with all applicable regulations in ASTM F2236-24 Consumer Safety Specification for Soft Baby Bands.
