Quality Acceptance Standard (AQL)
1. What is acceptance sampling?
Acceptance sampling is used to determine whether to accept or reject a batch of products. Firstly, select samples from a certain batch of products, inspect the selected samples, and then decide whether to accept or reject the batch of products based on the results.
What is the general sampling standard?
The sampling standard represents the overall accuracy of the sampling method. For a given batch of products, increasing the quality sampling standard means increasing the sampling quantity. The general quality sampling standards are divided into Level 1, Level II, and Sichuan level. The quality sampling standard of EC Inspection Company is defaulted to Level I.
3. What is batch/batch? What is sample size?
Batch or bulk products are a collection of many products with consistent size, type, production conditions, and time. Samples are taken between them to determine whether the batch/bulk products meet the acceptance criteria. The sample size refers to the quantity of all the extracted samples to be tested.
How to determine the sampling quantity and acceptance quantity?
Assuming a batch of 5000 products is inspected, according to the acceptance quality standard G-1, the following table shows that the sampling quantity should be 200 pieces. According to the acceptance quality standards of Critical 0, Major 2.5, and Minor 4.0, the acceptable defect standards for this batch of products are: 0 severe defects, 10 major defects, and 14 minor defects. If the randomly selected sample has more than 10 major defects or more than 14 minor defects when no serious defects are found, the batch of products will be rejected.
